Rough Weekend for Bonner Hoops

The Bonner basketball team had a tough weekend, losing both games to Roman Catholic and Father Judge. On Friday night, Bonner took on perennial basketball power Roman, losing 70-61. Jamal Melvin had a team high 20 points, with Scott Slade pitching in an additional 18. Roman's Rakeem Brookins led all scorers with 24 points. The Cahillites were 14-16 from the free throw line in the 4th quarter, which sealed the win for Roman. Bonner also took on the Father Judge Crusaders on Sunday. The Friars fell 57-51. Bonner falls to 3-6 on the year, 0-4 in the Catholic League. Bonner will take on Perkiomen Valley this Wednesday, January 13th, in a non-league affair. The game will take place at Perkiomen Valley.
